I have dual batteries, with one on each side of the radiator.
The viair compressor is on the passenger side, thinking of installing an inverter on the drivers side...

Where have you mounted your inverter?

leaning towards something in the 1500 watt range.

input and inverter recommendations are welcomed...thanks,
manny

Take out the POS rear sub and amp and use the mounting bracket for that to mount the inverter. Much less suseptable to moisture problems and you can mount outlets to the plastic pannel. Run the power directly from your second battery to the inverter. Just a thought.

Yeah, you probably don't want it in the engine compartment--too much heat and moisture. I bought a 1500 watt (3000 watt peak) inverter at Costco for $85 for occasional use only. For heavy use, you'd want a more industrial unit ($$).

FWIW, the Costco one is made by Xantrex. I haven't finished installing mine though.

Looks like THIS.

I have both the Xantrex 1200 watt and 1500 watt model from Costco. The 1500 watt unit is awaiting installation in the 80 when I have a free weekend.

Here is the 110V outlet and cover from Tacoma that I am using.
