Looking to baseline an 80, including fixing the oil leaks, front axle, a/c, etc. Also, would like to do a small lift along with adding new bumpers and roof rack. Cosmetics are fine for now. Have found several, but could use a hand narrowing down the list. Thanks!

The axle rebuild is a good candidate for DIY. Not a complicated job but it is time consuming so you’d be paying a lot in labor. Most of the oil leaks are fairly easy to fix as well, apart from the upper pan arch seal and valve stem seals.

Anyway, here’s a compiled listCruiser Mechanics listed by state.
