I would think there is a warranty period.

I would think so also, but all I got told was I need to bring the vehicle to them, that they can’t guarantee that they will fix it under warranty.

I am not making a special 4 hour trip to just have them look at it and then maybe another for them to fix it. I also asked about fixing the seat heater and they want $200 to replace it, even though they would have the seat apart.

So maybe if I/we go down on a Monday - Thursday and she doesn’t need the vehicle, then I will take it to them. Otherwise I am going to spend the $750 for Lexus covers and do it myself. It’s been a while, but I still have my hog ring pliers from old cars I restored.

Sorry you have to go through all that. Very different experience to mine.

My 4runner driver seat needs a new cover.
For the cost, I find that result abhorrent and after seeing this, would never spend my money there. I'm completely serious. Maybe this type of feedback could get them to make it right.

This isn't a hard DIY if you want to save some coin. I replaced the bottom foam cushion, and added a bun warmer and a lumbar inflator.

That was my plan all along. Toyota still sells the foam and there are some cheaper aftermarket covers that I don't mind using for the price point (<$50). A full protective seat cover would go over that.
