Any recommendations for a good, reasonably priced Atlanta-area paint shop for a respray of my 1997 FZJ80. It's 20 years old, just passed 100K mileage, and has been well-maintained. It's my daily driver, and I'm hoping to get a durable paint job to last another 20 years without mortgaging my house in the process . I can spend $5K, but not $12K. Any names of trusted paint shops or individual specialists would be greatly appreciated?

You might connect with Brian at ACC and see who they lean on for paint work.

I've used Certified in Chamblee a couple of times for minor paint work- good not great (had to ask them to correct some minor issues).

Most all the shops use the same software estimating program that spits out an estimate for: prep labor- paint labor and materials. It boils down to who does best work for the money.

Crabtree on Buford Hwy has done good work for me, and they have had a multi-year gig taking care of a pristine 62.

I emailed ACC this same question a few weeks ago. Never heard back. They must really be busy. I need some rust remediation on the rear lift. Was hoping to find a good shop that also has experience removing 100 series windows. Sounds like it can be tricky.

Removing them is the easy part. Just use a hammer. It's the putting them back together, now that's the tricky part. :hillbilly:

Lots of BMW/Porsche guys use Magnum Collision in Marietta on Hwy 41 near Dobbins.
