As the title states, I'm looking for the valve train for an F engine. Seems a couple things broke on mine and I'd like to save the engine on the cheap. If you have a complete cylinder head, I'd be interested as well.

Best bet is to email me at PhilC64 at Gmail . com

I think Spaceghost still has one sitting in his garage also if this one doesn't work out.

Picking up the goodies Friday evening and I'll be in Chi-Town all weekend long.

My mom lives in Munster,IN, close to Cabela's off of 80-94.

I'll be downtown Chicago Saturday evening @ The Standard Club for an event and then in Lombard all day Sunday, drinking Old Style and eating bbq...should be good times.

Best bet for you would be to meet me Saturday early pm somplace convenient for us.

I am thinking along the Stateline @ US41 in Whiting or South Chicago????

What say ye?

Phil- if none if the other offers works for you- I have a complete F engine you can have free for the taking.

Luke

Damn Luke you rock! I'm picking up the head tomorrow. I figured while I had the engine partially apart I might as well change a few gaskets and check the bottom end. If things go horribly wrong, like they have these last few months, I just might be needing it!

You want it delivered to Chicago tomorrow? I'm going to see Gumby and ask for his help with a ToyBox dis-assembly and re-assembly. Shouldn't cost you more than a thousand dollars.:grinpimp:

I may be at todds as well helping Dan with his leafs and tires. I need an excuse to drive the 92. If thats a mini truck case, i can also lend a hand.

The t-case is from an 89 4Runner. top shift. Any help will be much appreciated.

Luke

assuming its the gear drive, Ill probably be there if todd actually gets stumped. What are you doing to it?

It's gear driven. I need to change its input gear as well as the output gear in the Toybox so they match.

The ToyBox presently has an output shaft for the Cruiser case.

I supposedly have all the parts to make this work. I have the Marlin install instructions, the FSM for the mini-truck case, and a nice write-up from someone that did his own ToyBox.

Luke you absolutely rock!! Thanks again for the vintage and quite rare F motor! It'll definitely be put to good use!

Todd, Jon and Dan it was good seeing you as well!

No excuse me while I get an engine hoist and take a good look at this monster!

So, Phil?
You got it up & running yet?

I managed to get it out of the trailer and on my engine stand without issue. I'll start tearing down my motor tomorrow so I can change the head gasket and get the head checked for possible warping. I'll tackle tearing down the vintage F motor after that. I'm absolutely certain I'll have a ton of spare parts for an F motor! With that said....

Once I resolve the issues with my current F motor, I'll keep my promise to Luke and pay his good deed forward. If anyone needs F motor parts, they'll be yours for the asking.
