Can anyone explain why my FJ40 has round rear wheel wells? I had not really noticed that mine does not look like all of the other Cruisers I see. This cruiser has thrown me many oddball challenges during the build. Thanks in advance for the help.

I Appreciate all the feedback and advice given. I can definitely see what everyone is telling me. Thank you for the input, I’ve never been steamed wrong. I was so blind to all the other detail work and never having had a Cruiser before I can understand how I missed it. As usual I am continually paying for my education in one way or another. I can honestly see how these are considered a labor of love.

I suppose it will not be to much to replace the quarters and repaint. Depends on skill level and budget.

I will keep that website for future reference. After really looking, it is something that I can take care of with some time with a break and welder. I will post progress.

Good luck. Your work looks real good. Learning these things is the journey, and it will be worth it in the end. (with patience)

Thanks for the observations and feedback. In the big scheme of things it was just a minor speed bump. Repairs have been made now it isback to bodywork.
