looking at buying a 89 lj73 from germany it has a 2lt in it with about 200 kms
i've only had the b and 3b toyota diesels in the past..how does the 2lt compare? does the have the head issues that the 2lt11 has? anymore info would be great

Same problem. I had a German spec 1991 LJ73. Broken head x2 before the gov't seized it and crushed it. (that's another story)

Let that be lesson for any potential drug runners out there....it just isn't worth it. Crime does not pay.

Yeah ... horsepower. I could have used some of that when I was traveling across Montana to avoid Saskatchewan (yet another story) and the turbo packed it in. I wound up racing the same freight train, which slowed to a crawl in every little town, for hours. Eventually the train disappeared over the horizon ahead of me. Man I loved that truck!
