Also is the slowest setting on crawl control slower than DAC? I never use DAC because I feel like its way too fast in most situations where I need a slow and controlled decent, so im wondering if crawl fixes that issue. That may have made my decent over the weekend a lit less... Sweaty.

i'll lazily chime in and reinforce that CC is a lower speed from DAC. I saw someone post a stat sheet at some point. if I'm recalling correctly, DAC is around 5mph and CC is around 2mph

Is the cable that connects the Charger One to the battery disconnect-able from the charger one unit? You could always get a second cable and just have each vehicle wired up and ready to connect.
I'm thinking about replacing the 10 gauge cable I have feeding the cargo area auxiliary fuse panel I previously installed, with the 6 gauge cable that came with the Charger One. Then I will install a pigtail from the fuse panel that will feed the Charger One and will be disconnectable. That will improve my aux panel performance and not have a redundant set of heavy gauge wires running through the passenger compartment. I will install separate wires on the boat from either the starter battery or the house battery to the charger.

I may just use velcro for mounting the Charger One unit, it's not very big. We'll see.

Welcome Bob! I spent two decades living in Douglas and Johnson counties and really loved being in KC before we moved to Colorado. Great town! I'd love to get back to the Ozarks one of these years to get some trail time.

Thats one of the many things on the build list!

Speaking of electronics, I recently installed the Ecoflow alternator charger for my delta 2. I dont have any pics of the install process but can provide some of the finished product:View attachment 3812541

I dont have the ML speaker system so I just bolted the unit to the removable panel and it seems to hold the weight just fine. Running the wires to the battery was relatively simple. the most difficult part was pulling the super thick cables through the firewall grommet.
What are you charging with it?
Edit: Somehow I missed that you are charging a delta 2.

I have a Ecoflow Glacier and I just ran some 12 awg wire through a relay to a cigarette socket in the back and it charges my fridge battery pretty fast. I am sure it wouldn't be fast enough if I add a battery pack back there but it's working well now.

Nice! Im just relying fully on the delta 2 for powering my fridge for the time being since the glacier batteries appear to be out of stock with no return date.

Want to trade places? Id love to be able to visit Colorado more often but its hard to find time for an 8-10 hour drive unless I want to take time off.

Low speed on the 5-setting Crawl Control is 1 MPH. Super slow. Great on up and downhills.

Plus it sounds like a machine gun going off under the hood... (at least in a 2011 MY - I think newer versions are quieter?)

I found DAC to be useless, waaaaay too fast.

MTS allows you to vary A-TRAC for condition. It also allows for use of Mud/Sand mode in 4H

I’m not sure there have ever been any scientific tests but years back thought I read that FJ’s with Crawl/MTS had a more aggressive A-TRAC in Rock mode than non-equipped models A-TRAC version.

Just speculation though.. and not sure that transcends to the 460

(3-4MPH with DAC versus ~1MPH on slowest crawl speed)

MTS also offers up different ABS "Braking" algorithms while off-road

thanks for posting that, Acrad. I think you were the one that posted it last time. i should save those figures.

wish i could put MTS and CC on my 2020. i guess i should look into why i can't just to understand the differences.

Regarding crawl/mts... Even though its on the list for me (Because I just like more buttons and switches lol) do you guys feel like It really makes a difference? The stock ATRAC has gotten me though some pretty gnarly obstacles with this and my old t4r that im not 100% sure how often id ever even crawl/mts. Just looking for opinions on it I guess.
They are worth it given the price and ease of install. They are also separate modules/installs so you can pick them up one at a time if needed. If you have to pick one, I think MTS is more versatile and can come in handy outside of crawling speeds. Crawl Control is a nice backup to have if you are really struggling on certain terrain and is also kind of a fun party trick.
