What year did the LC first come with cameras all around?

Asking for a friend.

I believe that is correct 2013+ model LC's have the 4 camera system.

If your looking for older, I believe the LX570 08+ had a 3 camera system front, back and right side.

Copy that.

Thinking it may be time to upgrade sometime soon.

13-15 has 4 cameras, same as LX starting in 08
16+ has the birds-eye view

Periscopes are a cheaper alternative.

if you're looking for the birds eye view combining the camera views to one image then 2016, to get all the camera's would be 2013 for the LC. I can almost hear Tom Leykis saying the title of this thread now:)

Why do I need fancy cameras, I wonder? Midlife crisis?

I have yet to have a midlife crisis.

I chalk it up to a fulfilling youth and a deep rooted self actualization.

That's the poetic version.

The real version is I probably couldn't afford to have a midlife crisis.

Take a midlife crisis shortcut like I did and throw yourself off your truck at 40-45MPH. It takes all the guess work out cuz you contemplate your mortality way quicker and get it over with.

Clarification - the earlier LXs (I have the 2010) do NOT have 4 cameras, but have 3 = Front, Passenger Side, Rear. Newer versions (not sure starting when) have 4.

There are 50 pages in the '17 owner's manual devoted to use of the multi-terrain monitor system (cameras). It is FAR more than just bird's-eye view, which all by itself is very cool. It will be a learn-by-doing thing for me as I ascend the learning curve of my LC. Just reading about it in the manual is too daunting; I have to get in the driver's seat and start pushing the buttons while in my favorite off-road places (or in a parking lot for that matter!).

My 08 LX only has 3 cameras, my dads 2015 LX also only had 3 cameras..
Really? Don't you have one on the front, one on the rear, and one under each mirror?

My truck only has one camera!

So far they only come in handy when your parking. Wouldn't want to get caught on a mall crawl being the A-hole taking up to parking spots. Especially in the 2017 LX with the the Birds eye view. Now that view is just awesome for the mall crawl

Aside from parallel parking the camera under the passenger side mirror is actually very handy when on a trails as you can see the side of the truck and your front tire and what it may make contact with like an unexpected rock. A pseudo spotter on that side if you will since you cant see that corner well from the driver seat.

just a pic from the internet to give you an idea:

While I have not had a chance to lean on the cameras in complicated off road terrain, on some basic stuff it is interesting. Seeing both sides is pretty nice for sure, and the under car is potentially useful though not where I was when it was on. At least at that speed you have a chance to look at the screen without running off the road or doing anything rash - but in the normal day to day stuff I find the good old fashion mirrors a way better solution the screen has me look the wrong way while moving a little fast in tight quarters - not my favorite. I guess I'm old fashion? I certainly don't hate it - but I certainly did not look at the cameras as a reason to buy a 16 over a 15. Just my random 2¢.

The LC has the exact same bird's eye view as the LX. Exact same thing. I have a 2016 LC and a 2017 LX.
