Great to hear you'll have them in hand soon. I am super impressed with Zuk and would recommend him enthusiastically to anybody.

My next decision is how to switch them - I was going to use my switchpros, but heard a comment about how it would be easy to engage them by mistake.

I have the OEM style switches (maybe from ch4x4.com) in the blank spots to the right of the steering wheel. If I had a switchpro I wouldn't hesitate to use it.

Regarding switchpros - no more easy to turn on then some of the stock switches. It would come down to where you have it mounted. The lighting makes it easy to see at a glance what is enabled or not.

Mine is in the sunglass tray overhead, so not easy to bump or anything. The concern I heard was engaging them by mistake while driving down the road - trying to turn on another switch, like lights, for example.

The earlier 80 series factory style rotary switch (84725-60020) was what I was thinking, but will probably be lazy and just use the switchpros.

Guess it's possible. Couple things that may help.
- Put the locker switch position towards the corner of the panel that's less used. I have all my lights at the left positions. Lesser used items towards the right. Locker button in the far corner
- The e-locker is robust and doesn't much care if it's turned on/off, or accidently turned on/off. You should feel it if it's accidently on when on the street. It's certainly no worse than the factory center locker turned on and driving on the street.

Not my favorite location, but I like the 80/100 OEM rotating switch because it's difficult to accidentally engage as you need to push down and then rotate.

If someone comes up with a better location (not including the dashboard blanks which I've used up) I'm all ears. I wanted to mount it in the blank spot between the ECT PWR button and the MTS controls but there's a solid wiring thing underneath which blocks it. I did consider @bjowett's method where you swap in a RHD start button/4WD panel and shave this to fit, but I can't decide what to do with the extra dashboard hole in that case. Also that plastic panel is like $150 which is crazy.

I'd have to relocate one of my switches , but this would be slick.

Here is where mine is.

FWIW I put my trailer brake controller in the far left panel by the mirror switch. I relocated the headlight aiming switch because I never use that feature. One benefit is that I can actually *see* what value the redarc is set to while driving.

I didn't go read this whole thread so which lockers did you go with?

eaton 14217-1 front
eaton 14213-1 rear

?

Does the OEM rotating locker switch have any lighted indication of on? Or would you need to rely on noting the switch position? The lack of readily visible indicator to confirm state may be a negative in itself when mounted low in the knee position. Perhaps over trails where there's a need to constantly turn it off/on between obstacles and switchbacks.

That said, does our dash have a unused rear locker indicator? The bulb is probably missing. Or maybe not? That would be slick.

There's no lighted indicator on the dial switch but it would be easy to add an led into the circuit that's visible on the dash somewhere.

There's a thread somewhere in the forum that determined there is a spot on the instrument cluster for LCs only. The LX doesn't have a spot for the locker indicator light. You can check by shining a flashlight on the gauge cluster to see the available indicators. I guess LCs have it because a locker was added in some markets but not for the LX.

No rear locker indicator in my combination meter (dash gauge display). I have. 2009 lx570.

You can add a backlight to the switch I think but no it doesn’t light anything up in the switch or on the dash when it’s on. The 100 series had a rear locker light on the dash which you could add a bulb and wire up but I don’t think the 200 does.

It’s a knob though and pretty easy to tell if it’s enabled by feel or by looking at it, unlike a button which might be hard to visually tel if it’s depressed.

For me I’m not going to leave the lockers engaged except to work through an obstacle, so I don’t mind the rotating switch, so long as it’s visible from the drivers seat.

There is a dummy cover/blank for one of the holes, but I have not tracked down the part number. You could also run two 100 series switches, that would allow you to engage the front locker independently. The trim piece can be purchased for around $100, but the shipping will probably push it back to that $150.

Woohoo! Freshy fresh and in time for Christmas!

Are you going to install that one and drive around without the front drive shaft until you get the 2nd one?
