This may be a dumb question, but I'm relatively unexperienced with winches and trying to decide on a bumper. It appears that with any of the shortbus or high clearance tube bumpers, the fairlead is quite a bit lower than pn the full size bumpers (arb bull bar, etc.) and at an angle. Should this be a concern in terms of the winch functionality? Is it less than ideal for it to be lower and sitting at an angle compared to facing straight forward and higher up? Thanks.

Usually you just put in the middle... facing forward...

Down low is the way to go, though ti will be covered in mud when you need it.

A bit of angle wont shouldnt hurt it, generally most folks find the location that is closest to the body/rad to get the best approach angle, as the relative height in regards to the frame rails isnt quite as important.
