Locating the VIN on 99/00 body panels (1 Viewer)

How difficult is it to locate the VIN number stamped on the body panels. I am going to be looking at a few 1999/2000 Land Cruisers and want to be sure no body panels have been replaced, but have no idea how to check this out. Is it hard to see, or can I find it with a flash light?

just went through the same learning experience.
It's very easy, they are all readily visible with a quick walk around the car. Generally all on an "edge" of the panel in question
If I remember correctly:
- the fenders stickers are on top towards the inside, you need to open the hood
- the hood is either on the front (I think) or the side "edges", forgot
- all doors on the "edge", same with rear
I don't know if there is one on the "main" body. (let me know pls)
they are a little white strip about 1/2" by 3" with the VIN in pale gray/black.
