Howdy.
Is there a local FJ restorer in the Austin area?.
please get me in touch.
Thank y`all
There’s a few that could help depending on what you’re looking to accomplish. Need to know what series/year cruiser you’re needing help with. I’m 30 miles west of San Marcos and can do anything/everything with most solid axle trucks. See my build threads in my signature. There’s AJ (does awesome work) in Austin as well as Landcruiser Specialist. I may be leaving a few off the list but this is what comes to mind. Looking forward to more details and pics of your rig. Thanks. Jimmy

And there’s Cody down in Shertz. I’ll list more if they come to mind.

Watching - as I'm here in Austin.

Any good machine shops you recommend for a 1FZ-FE rebuild in central TX?

Call Bearden to see who they use, AJ may have one as well

AJ has a lot of experience with 43s, not sure where his new shop is located but he’s in Austin.

Message him, @aljollano
His shop is in Cedar Park.
Edwin’s (LandCruiserSpecialist) wait list is long.

I just rebuilt my Power Steering (Saginaw) for the second time and can certainly offer some advice as well as some potential assistance. I’m in Sunset Valley (south Austin).

@Rivetdriver
Feel free to message me for my number.

In terms of machine shops, just had a great preliminary conversation with Texas Engine Machine in Llano. I used them years ago for some UTV head work. Was impressed then. More impressed now after the initial chat - especially around head work options. And they have done some 1 and 2F engines as well - some hot rodded. They took some notes on my goals and we are going to meet face to meet in a few weeks to discuss pricing and options (I'm traveling the next 2 weeks). Fingers crossed!
