Ecuador on the 30th of December = $1.037 per gallon, and that is full service with washing of the windows! The country is on the USD, and for some odd reason they measure fuel in gallons, while everything else is metric.

Domestic products have minimal taxes (14% VAT), while all imports have big taxes (100% for some items), Good thing that the country has it's own oil.

Currently diesel prices are €2,02 per liter which is about $8 per gallon. This is after the tax deduction, it was $10 per gallon before.

So when I fill up my 2006 Land Cruiser J100 4.2 diesel it cost me about: 197.6 USD and the same for my 1980 HJ45 pickup 4.0 diesel.
But my daily little car Yaris Verso/Echo with a small 1.4 commonrail diesel it cost about: 98.80 USD

$5.19/gallon last fill up north of Denver Colorado. I’ve seen it as high as $5.95/gallon near the interstate Highway returning from Moab Utah last weekend. Doubtful it’ll be going down any time soon.
