LJ78 protection (2 Viewers)

With how crazy the weather has been lately, I have decided that the LJ should get a bumper upgrade. Unfortunately, ARB does not produce bull bars designed specifically for the 78 series. What I would like to know is which of these bars (60/80 series) will be more likely to fit on my cruiser?

Someone in Vancouver was selling this bumper which I tried to get my hands on but was too late. It is a full aluminum bumper which would be pretty sweet for keeping the weight down.

Great minds think alike, I tried to hop on that bar as well, but it ended up selling very quickly. It does look like a sturdy bar.

I did see the expedition portal's LJ78, I have already asked which bar they used on their facebook page, if they reply I will let you know which series it is. Worst comes to worst, I will take my chances with an 80 series bar, I'm sure with a little bit of "tweeking" it will fit right in.

Don't know about that bumper, it's probably an ARB for a 70 series that has been modified (I think the wings/ends need to be cut). But, a Dobinsons bumper for 70 series fits an LJ78 with out mods and looks nice...

WDYD - What did you do on your 70 series today?

Joined a Vintage Fly- & Drive-In at a small airport in Moenchengladbach. Nice vintage vehicles of all sorts and also some nice vintage planes there. (The hangar, where the event took place, is dedicated to Hugo Junkers. One of the last airworthy JU52 is maintained there and was on display...

You could also look into Ironman bumpers for 70 series. I think I have seen those on LJs too

Does anyone know what kind of bumper this is? I'm on the ARB site and can't find it. They all have fog light cut outs in the front bumper.

That would be the HD 70-series Deluxe ARB (narrow nose version) with trimmed side wings. That is what I have on my LJ78; it is a great bumper but needs a bit of modification to fit a Prado. Both the front and rear bumpers are not easy to find on the ARB site.
