LJ 78 PVC Valve

I'm trying to fix an oil leak at my turbo intake..Ive heard that these leaks can be a result of crankcase pressure and sometimes can be fixed by replacing or unplugging the PVC valve. So I am now trying to locate this on my engine (2LT-E)
if someone could explain where it is located please...

There is no Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve on the 2L-TE. The crankcase pressure is just vented out the back left side of your rocker cover and piped back to the intake between the filter canister and the turbo. If you have excessive blow-by the rings oil will be forced through this pipe and show up at and around the turbo. Do you see much blue smoke from the tail pipe and does your engine use oil?

Sorry about jumping in my lj 78 does have some oil buildup around the crossover pipe, i can see it where the metal meets the rubber just before the intake plenum or whatever the diesel term is

oh and it does blow black a bit when under hard excelleration but doesn't seem to use any oil.

Mine has a bit of black smoke if i accelerate hard only. Oil loss is very minor. Here is a pic of my oil leak:

Hey guys this may help. My Lj78 has oil leaking out of the cross over pipe as well. The picture you have posted with oil leaking out of the intake manifold is common. There is not a pcv valve on this engine. When you have a engine that produces 21.5 to 1 compression you will have blow by gases. It is almost imposible to solve this problem. you can take all you air duct hoses off and clean them but after a few months they will collect oil again and start to weep oil. It is the nature of the beast. One way to help this problem is to use a oil catch can (google it). This is a way to catch the oil mist and be able to drain it. Do not buy a cheap oil catch tank if you want to go this route, buy a good one. Do some reasearch. I just clean my engine once a week to keep my mind at ease.
My truck also blows black on hard acceleration. Our Diesel in Canada is not good. There are many fuel products out there that will help.
The one I use is Power Service. I buy it from Lordco or Canadian Tire. Read the instructions and your good to go.
When I was in Japan last March none of the Diesel trucks smoked because they add additives to their fuels at the pump.
