Anyone ever heard of a Todd Overdrive? lol. Patent expires this year. So if anyone was planning to ramp up production of an overdrive for the 60 series it time to start planning. :D

Is this a bolt-on setup a-la the Gear Vendors unit?

I know most Fairey overdrive owners were quite disappointed. My buddy removed his after 2 years of bitching about it.

My Fairey was a horrid POS, and I think it failed due to lack of oiling.. but whether that was a PO encouraged failure or a design issue I cannot say. This was a on an '81 BJ42, so the split-case variety.

Maybe that was written for a studebaker land cruiser, though why you would need a 4wd OD in a studebaker is beyond me.. just sayin' there's no Toyota in there... IANAL though

One of the local guys here has a Fairy Overdrive in his FJ45. Don't know anything about it but he seems proud of it.
