My passenger's side sensor came loose. I wasn't in a position to pull over and fix it right away. As you describe, the light flashed, but the front height remained normal and I honestly couldn't tell a performance difference in the system. I drove like that for about 50 - 70 miles. Maybe 10 of those on fire roads. Hooked it back up as soon as I had a chance and it's been fine ever since.
