Looking good Sam!

The ride is amazingly improved. Night and day difference. I can tell its taller too. Like I almost fell out when I got out of the truck earlier. Haha.

Weird thing is now it seems like my driveline harmonic/vibration is louder again. It also is very pronounced when you slow down. It's like the truck is hanging in gear and not downshifting. So when you try to accelerate its like it needs to downshift so it's like kinda bogged down. Weird but I'll mess around with it a bit. Need to drive it some more.

Well after driving the truck a bit I am still very impressed. The rattles, rough ride, and vibrations are gone. Highly recommend the Ironman kit to anyone with a 120 series. @DanKunz can answer any questions about installs on the GX but on the 4Runner it was all easy bolt-in installation.

I have been working an insane amount of hours lately and not taking any days off (just took my first Saturday off in about a month and a half last weekend) so I haven't had a chance to test it out yet. I hope to take a day trip to somewhere close and give it a little bit of a workout sometime in the next month or two.

My only concern is still the difference in height between the front and back. I haven't measured again yet so I don't know if any settling has occurred. I am eventually going to put a winch and possibly a bumper on front so I don't want to have too much stink bug. I guess I could swap to the heavy (I think Ironman calls them constant load) springs in the front when I get to that point. I currently have the medium (Ironman calls them "performance") springs all the way around.

So, next couple of items on the list are sliders and probably my special made exhaust that I still haven't picked up.

Future Plans:
Sliders, I like the White Knuckle ones but they are all pretty similar
ARB on board air, hard mount in the engine bay
Removable sleeping platform (so the back seat can still be utilized when the platform is not in use)
Skids... def gonna need some of those.
Front bumper, probably Shrockworks
Or, maybe a hidden winch mount?
Winch, see above...
Rear bumper w/ tire carrier

So, after looking at a few of options, I am going to go with the ARB compressor. Talked to Steve @Southeast Overland and decided that would be the best option.

Sliders are next on the list. Debating on bolt on or weld on... Since the X-REAS has been removed I can now go straight to the frame.

Skids are on the list but a ways down. The factory ones are already pretty beat up though.

Front bumper savings fund has been established.... Probably will still be a good while though. Maybe later this year??

I was considering the hidden winch mount but I think I will probably just wait on this until I get the bumper. Doesn't make sense to do all that work then just take it off and put a bumper on.

Rear bumper is way down on the list. I am going to need a better solution for the spare tire though. Right now it's just ratchet-strapped down in the back and takes up a ton of space. The biggest headache is when I'm sleeping in the truck (see next line item). So, maybe a system where I can stand it up like previously discussed? There isn't a 3rd row seat bracket to use like the LCs have though. So I might have to get creative.

Sleeping platform is OUT. With the seats down the back is nearly perfectly flat. I have slept in it a couple of times and it's just fine as it is. Throw a pad down or a couple of sleeping bags and it's good to go.

For the tire, could you make a small rack for it and put it on the roof. Seems like a pain to keep inside, I know how small those hatches are.

I thought about that but if you have to get it down that would suck. These tires are pretty heavy and I can't imagine being on a trail and trying to get it down. I think that's good solution if you don't go off road much though. Also I think I'm pretty close to the height limit of being able to fit in the garage. I think having the tire on top would make that a no-go. Since we live in a snobby neighborhood I can't work on the truck in the driveway. Has to be inside the garage.

That would be the last place I'd want to live.......:bang:

Well, I meant having it up there just for off-road trip, and a removable rack. Yeah, would be heavy to get up there, but easy with two people. Space is short in my 100 with the fridge and I use the backseat for passengers, I feel your pain.

When you guys get ready to move you should empty your chemical toilet into the storm drain while wearing a ratty bathrobe. And just smile and wave at your neighbors and exclaim "sh!ter was full" :flipoff2:

Well, luckily we're just renting. When we buy our next place I'm def going to look for somewhere that's a little more redneck friendly. :hillbilly:

Trust me there has been LOTS of talk about lawn ornaments and such... :deadhorse:

@cruiserdan we are also looking to possibly buy property up in N GA/TN/NC in the mountains (with a small cabin or house). So I could keep/work on my junk up there and I doubt I'll have to worry about any covenants...

Really like the lift. Ironman was at the top of my list when the time comes. I am curious about the Ironman Foam Cell Pro shocks that recently came out too.

The foam cell shocks are awesome. I had those on my Tundra and I loved them. I didn't get them for the 4Runner because they had to come on a slow boat from Australia.

Thanks Sam. Maybe I will go that direction if I am not in a hurry. Maybe they will be more common here when I decide to lift.

Yeah if you could wait a bit I would highly recommend them. I had to be in a bit of a hurry bc the X-REAS was shot.

Buy my old house. Room for 4 cars/trucks and plenty of room to wrench!

No!!

(We can't buy anything until we sell our other house. Plus I'm going to wait a couple of years so I'll have more cash money to put down.)

Well, not really a functional mod but I ordered the last Borla 4Runner exhaust a while back. Finally got around to picking it up AND put it on today.

Sound quality is probably better if you watch these in HD.
