So we lost 7 computers last night at one store---we have big antennas on top of our stores. Where can I find some type of protection for a UTP connection? I'm sure this is a common problem in places like florida.

APC used to make them. The same people that make battery backup units and surge protectors.

They are an inline connector that has a ground wire attached. You attach the ground wire to an electrical ground, and theorhetically it will take any excessive current straight to ground.

Good luck, and it sucks that ya lost so many computers.
