I tried doing a search with no luck....

When opening my liftgate, the latch on the passengers side hangs up and is difficult to open. Is this difficult to adjust?

Thanks again guys...

Don

what kinda a Cruiser? 40, 55, 60 or ?

sorry about that....its a 78' fj40 with an earlier hardtop.

Not a bad set up...just wish the latch didn't stick. The pin pulls in to release, just not enough. :(

Mine did that 'cause the tub was tweaked. I stacked washers between the hard top and the tub on one side to try to square the hatch opening up. It seemed to help a little.

Open up the access panel in the back. You have a kind of closehanger wire kindof thing on each side. Each side has two overlapping pieces, which are bound by nut/bolt apparati. You loosen the nuts, adjust the wires to lengthen/shorten, and tighten up again. It is a trial and error sort of thing, but you'll get it.
