Yep Im here. I would love to meet up with you guys. My only prob ,which is a big one, is my rig is not registered or insured because it's not my DD. By next summer the wife will have to let me get plates and Insurance though. Untill then i drive it the speed limit around my neigborhood.

I ran 4.88's on my OME lifted 62 with 33x10.50's. did the gears help? You bet, but not as I would have thought. The real difference was off-road. It certainly gave me some more off the line oomph, and some more hill climbing power, but I still resigned myself to the slow lane going up any type of hill, 55 max. In my opinion, the $ for gears is better spent elsewhere...unless you really need that small boost it gives.

yup sucked alot more with 33s

hands down - sucks more with the 33s. the 4.11s in my 60 brings it close to stock gearing.

as a comparison - my 40 will do like 50 up vail pass and the other nasty climbs, whereas the 60 is doing like 36-38, screamin'!....GPS'd, accurate.

YEAH! let's get together and wheel. My only difficulty is wanting to spend all my time with the 11mo. old. I work about 60 hrs a week - weekends are my kid-time But heck! he'll forget I wasn't around a few Saturdays. ;)

So 45 mph up Wolf Creek Pass is reasonable?

Maybe i don't need a new engine.

Here is my 60 with OME and 33s

FJ 62 w/ OME HD Ultimate kit. Would definitely recommend going with Kraig.
33.4x10.5x16 BFG MT KM's:D . Great on road handling, and NO tire howling due to the new KM lug pattern.
Yeah, with 4.11's you will still feel the hills.
Only remedy for that is the 2wd low mod, 4.88's, or SBC 350/TD!
A brick is a brick no matter how you gear it.

Now it doesnt look like a station wagon, but still looks "stock". A very nice system...

Yeah, Wolf Creek Pass is a killer. I take consolation in passing the tankers doing 20. :frown:

The only good thing about those long climbs is the descent that you know is ahead :D

Okay, here's what we'll do. Shawn, bring your boy and we'll wheel around 5280Hawk's neighborhood.

I'm in

Cool! see you at sunrise!

Hey! where were you guys this morning??? I had coffee and Donuts!:flipoff2:

LMAO Good one Red!

That's more than 2.5" lift, right?

It was the OME Ultimate kit (from Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters)
It's supposed to be 2.5" more than stock, the thing you need to remember is that most of our springs have sagged a bit so it raises it up more than the 2.5" from our existing (sagging) suspension. Also, it settles in after a year or so. I only have a thousand street miles on mine so its not even broken in yet. I;m regearing and adding new moly axles and lockers next month:bounce: so this summer I'll get a chance to flex the springs a bit more.

I'd go with Kurt for your suspension!!!
