Anyone have a recommendation for where to tap into power for a carrier-mounted license plate light?

I think the wire for the factory license plate like is loomed under the rig. You could tap there or on the running lights of your trailer wiring...

I spliced into the rear tail light. Found the wires for the tail light that illuminate when parking lights or head lights are switched on. fished wire from that, thru the body and out to the carrier arm.

I believe the standard method is to use a trailer plug.
