My 1985 BJ 70 is bone stock on the suspension (I think) and has a slight forward stance. Would like to level, potentially lift and level. Who here has gone through the project? What did you learn? What parts/kits did you use? What are my options? Thanks all!

Your options are Old Man Emu, Iron Man and Dobinsons for the basic lift kit of around 2.5"

Lots of penetrating oil, heat and patience. You might also find you need to fix front end parts at the same time like tie rod ends, possible ujoints and other things that happen with a 30 year old vehicle.
