When I make a sharp turn I heard feel a large pop that seems to be coming from the back axel. I assume that it is the knuckle but I am wondering if I might be misdiagnosing it. Anyone with any thoughts.

I also get a fairly high pitched sounds from the engine, only lasts about 3 seconds and usually right when the car is started up. A belt I presume ?

If you have a lift, its likely to be the spring pack slipping within itself.
Unless you have 4 wheel steering, I dont think the rear axles have knuckles... Hubs might be a better word

have someone walk along side you and listen when you are turning. Flex in the body? loose body mount?

The high pitched noise could be a belt or a bearing. Possibly one behind a pulley at the alternator, power steering pump, water pump etc.

Do you have a locker or limited slip installed by the PO that you are unaware of?
