This was a super easy job, but since it involved pulling unseen clips, I decided to post some pics for future reference. Note I show where I started prying with the red trim tools at the hinge side and then the latch side. Expect some loud popping as you pull those clips out! The clips are light blue and did not break, though one detached from the tray when I removed it. The bulbs inserted smoothly and polarity didn't matter. Everything snapped together tightly.

Second for pics. How much brighter was it?

Not an LX, but here is what I posted for the install on my 2013 LC200 - please note light intensity readings pre/post installation at the end of the post:

Another LED backup light install.

Used these (as recommended - thanks, guys!):

I reduced the exposure to accentuate the difference between the new LED light on the left and the OEM halogen on the right, they look much brighter in real life:

Both new LED's:

Exposure brightened up a bit to better approximate what they look like:

I used a digital light meter to measure the light output in LUX of the OEM halogens and the new LED's.

OEM halogens measured:

18,700 LUX Driver side and 20,300 LUX Passenger side

LED's measured:

39,400 LUX Driver side and 40,700 LUX Passenger side

Safe to say the new LED's are TWICE AS BRIGHT as the OEM halogens.

Gotta love the hard data. Thanks!
