So... My buddy picked up one of these a few months ago for his (my old) 4runner. He has a defender rack on his rig and this thing fits like a charm, solid. Not knowing much about these light bars, and knowing the prices can get high, I'm wondering if these are any good. Again, he's had his a few months, flawless operation. I took a good look at it before he installed it and it seems legit. Heavy duty housing, finned to dissipate heat, and took the end cap off to see the innards, looks like a quality product. I'm a firm believer in "ya get what ya pay for" on just about everything. I don't plan to bash it into things, I'm a careful wheeler and try different lines before the skinny pedal. Long story short, my buddy got one, with an upgraded harness, shipping and all came to 240. I've looked at similar sizes and they're 500 or more, which is steep for me, not night wheeling much at all. Those of you with light bars, similar sized, different brands or even the same please throw your $.02 at this. Again, seems legit, and at about 200 bucks I'm leaning towards picking one up.

Im running a few different sized light bars from MIC tuning. got em off ebay and amazon. just make sure you get Cree LEDs in any light bar you get. Also make sure you seal the lenses and caps so they don't get moisture inside.

Seems a little over priced for the power. Where do you plan on mounting it?

For what it's worth, I bought a $130 40" 270w eBay bar with roughly 22,000 lumens (not sure how true that is) and it has been perfect for over a year and a half on my truck.

My friend did the same with a 50" that was equally as bright as mine, but within 6 months of so he got water in his and it started molding. I took it apart and the end cap gaskets were hardly sealed with silicone.

I recently found a 4D curved 50" with OSRAM LEDs for him on eBay for ~$230 with a harness, and it throws light at least twice as far as mine with more intensity. The seller claims it is 45,000 lumens.

Go for CREE LED and the more watts the better (usually). If you can find 10W LED's, that would be best but they are usually more expensive. To determine the wattage, divide the number of LED's in the light bar by the wattage of the light bar. 100W light bar with 10 LED's = 10W LED's.

I buy these from China and sell them on ebay (among other LED lights). I've never had any come back with any complaints other than the normal 'too big' or 'too small' stuff.

I've bought from two suppliers, and they appeared to be identical - so I suspect they're all made in the same factory (assuming you're getting CREE LED's).

My advice is look for cree, and buy the cheapest you can find.

Yes, this one in particular is Cree LEDs. Yes, the wattage is low, 3watt if I did it right, 180w, 60 bulbs (LEDs) and I planned on mounting on my rooftop basket. With the wattage being low, I may run it for a while, then upgrade to a curved model and put this on the rear. Great info to start, thanks guys. Any more info, chime in!

cheesus! thats cheap as hell!!!!

Hott damm Jose! That's cheap as all hell. Well, just dropped the hammer and ordered three if them. One front, one rear, and one for my buddy helping me work on this while I'm down with the broken leg. They'll fit perfectly inside the front and rear "hoops" of the cargo basket I'm using, which is a plus for protection and overall appearance. Thanks for the info!

Are you happy with it???

I have no complaints. It turns on when I want it to and it throws decent light. Nobody here is running the Baja 1000 so light bars are just a tacticool accessory. And for that, the price is right on these China lights

Damm right! As for a cheap, upgrade from headlights they seem great for me. Glad you're feedback is a plus as well, and you use yours enough to know, vs someone saying a bunch and having turned it on once when installed. I don't need Baja lights either, I'm a firm believer in not spending what I don't have to to achieve the same outcome. Some things yes, but mostly not.
