Hi all,

Just finished an engine swap on a 94 80. We pulled the engine/trans/t case out together and then stuck it back in. Its now having a steady slow stream of ATF coming out from the middle of the bell housing. Pretty sure its coming from inside but will have to check. I have discussed with some friends and we think its the front pump seal. I'm trying to make sure that there aren't any other seals that I could have missed that may be causing this. Also going to do rear main while I"m at it but I already have that.

The part number I have for the seal I believe is leaking is 90311-42010.
Please let me know if you have any other suggestions for what could be leaking. and yes it is ATF fluid.

Also to add, it only leaks when on. I see a mention of a torque converter shaft seal. Wondering where this goes.

90311-42010 is the correct number for the oil seal on the front of the pump where the torque converter inserts. If you are interested, the number for the pump body O-ring is 90301-99029.

Do you know where this o ring goes on the trans?

You would have to remove the front pump cover to replace this O-ring. This is most likely not your leaker. I’ll see about posting a visual aide.
