Hey guys. Noticed some drops of what I think is water on my left foot while driving today. Is it anything to be concerned about? AC is cranked... everything is normal.

Thanks in advance!

Probably from the evaporator housing, there are a few threads on this..

Evaporator housing is passenger side. If the AC is cranked, and your drip is cold, it might be condensation coming off the duct...I hope.

A leak in this area can cause all sorts of electrical issues as there is a junction box behind the kick panel by your left foot. Turn your AC off, and let a garden hose soak the roof for a few minutes. Common leak areas are the sunroof drains, roof rack pillar and windshield.

I'll turn it down. I have it cranked in back for the pup. only 5-6 drops of water. Been driving for 8 hours. Driving now, can't do the hose trick.

No. The dripping has stopped. I think.

Stuck in stopped traffic on I-80 in Indiana.
I've got my bare foot under where it had been dripping and so far so good.

Still good

Your sunroof drains are clogged. Get a few feet of weed eater string and a cleaner like simple green. Open the sunroof and clean the entire area out and use the string to clean out the drain holes.

Really? I mean, that would make sense I guess.

When I just had it serviced they said I already needed a new engine filter (even tho I had it replaced right before I started the trip. A few hundred miles of dusty dirt roads...

And there was so much junk up there from the trip that I had to clear it out. Pine needles, stuff like that. I will do this when I get home.

Thank you guys for your help! I love the 100 forum!

I think you are right and it is condensation. It happened again yesterday and it was the same exact situation. Thanks again!

So, this only happens to me on long road trips. I tried to feel up under there while I was driving, but couldn't tell where it was coming from. Anyone fixed this?

No, and it just happened to me on my way to OBX. I turn off the AC and it stops.

:meh:

There are tons of threads on this. Boils down to three things:

Passenger side floor wetness can be caused by A/C condensor drip which I solved by taking apart the housing and siliconing it shut.

Passenger side floor wetness and drivers side floor wetness can also be caused by improper windshield install and subsequent seal leak or sunroof drain clogs which allow water to travel down a pillar to floor.

Resolution: check and clear sunroof drains...all four of them. Be sure water is running into holes and actually draining outside onto ground. Have windshield resealed if that turns out to be your issue.

I have fixed the passengers-side leak with a new seal. I am having A/C condensation drip on my foot when I am driving (drivers-side).
