I did 3/4 ton 63's in the rear of my FJ62 but have only been running a 35" tire. Will be stepping up to a 37" next year but kinda whish I had done a little bit of a shorter spring, like the 55" Tahoe's or one of the rear Ford springs. I hit the shackles and spring eyes a lot coming off ledges, they ride awesome though especially with my custom valved Fox shocks.

I still can't wait till someone puts leaves on the front of an 80

I’m really not sure why people don’t do this more……
There is a reason why 80’s out wheel 60’s hands down; coils. Not to mention coils produce a high quality ride. The only reason to remove coils and install leafs is because that’s just what you want to do.

Hi Steve! 60s also don’t come with Chevy 63s. Plenty of people get a ton of performance out of long leafs.

Bumped this just for kicks?
I was thinking about chevy 63s the other day because I see so many people run them on the rears of tacomas and 4Runners now with good results. I kinda remembered someone running them on an 80 so I started searching for a refresher.
