:confused:Can any one tell me what the height measurement is from the top of the front and rear axle housing to the bottom side of the frame just above the housing for a stock Toyota 1980 FJ40 configuration.
I am wanting to re-arc the front and rear leaf spring to the stock specs.
The area mentioned is were most cars with leaf spring were measured for the arc of the spring for frame height.
Also would anyone know what the max arc height my be from stock, such as if the stock height is 8.5”, would 11.5” be the max (3” lift) without changing the front end.
Thanks

I agree with you on having them arced just a bit more than the stock measurements, but I cant seem to find what the stock measurements are. I asked the folks that will do the work and they say we just bend them to what you want, 2"3"4" so on.
I do not want to mess with the front end and want to keep it as stock as poss. Love to buy new springs but kids and food I'm lucky to have a Cruiser.
Thanks
