As part of The FJ Company’s expansion plan, we are creating service and demo hubs in different states in the US. Our second such hub will be in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. The Colorado hub will initially serve all of its neighboring States until such time as those States have their own locations.
The Lead Technician will be primarily responsible for servicing The FJ Company customers in Colorado, and will perform warranty service, upgrades, and regular maintenance of vehicles. Occasionally, the role requires working on special projects for the company, such as purpose-built vehicles, demo vehicles, and such.
Secondary responsibilities include supporting customers over the phone when they have technical issues with their vehicles, helping customers with the logistics of servicing and repairing their vehicles (coordinating pick ups and deliveries), and representing the company in sponsored events (rallys, trail runs, auctions, etc).
The position requires travel for training to both Miami and Bogota once or twice per year, occasional travel to neighboring States to address emergency service calls, and occasional travel to company sponsored events (rallys, trail runs, auctions, etc). In all, we expect the position to require traveling 20% of the time.
To be successful in this position, the candidate must demonstrate a high degree of technical and mechanical understanding of Toyota Land Cruisers, must be proactive, self motivated, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. At least 10 years’ experience in a similar role required.
