OnX has become pretty ubiquitous in Western hunting. I'd expect them or a similar platform to achieve the same in offroad.

Thanks, Idaho Savage! My day job is with onX, and I'm looking forward to joining you all out CO this summer. I work on the finance and ops side of the business, but I'll do my best to answer any questions about the app now or when we get closer to the event.I have the OnX Offroad and Hunt apps via work and can verify that they're pretty rad.
Any tablet that is relatively modern will work well. Personally, I recommend an iPad mini with cellular connection. (I'm iOS through and through, but an Android tablet would do the trick too. I just don't know the details.) I dig the Mini because it's small enough to mount in the truck without taking up a ton of space. Cellular connection is key because only those iPads have GPS chips. Also, our product works best in portrait mode--for now--and I think a small tablet in portrait works better in the truck than a bigger one.Off topic a bit, but I am considering trying OnX maps since MotionX no longer updates map tiles. What is the best tablet to run OnX?
Also, light weight is nice. A big, heavier iPad Pro jiggling around while on a trail would make me crazy.Any tablet that is relatively modern will work well. Any chance of this app being integrated into Apple Carplay? Also, light weight is nice. A big, heavier iPad Pro jiggling around while on a trail would make me crazy.
It's something we are working through. The CarPlay and Android Auto implementations are somewhat constraining on the user experience, so we are looking at how we can make the onX experience consistent (and awesome) with what is available through those products.Any chance of this app being integrated into Apple Carplay?
For those of you that did Ouray two years ago in a stock LX 570, were your steps at risk or get damaged.
Thinking about doing Slee sliders, but the reality is they probably wouldn’t get used much except for LCDC type of annual events.
I am running KO2s and Rock Warriors.
Thoughts?
This thought also crossed my mind.(part of me kinda wants to camp solo and let the fam hang at the VRBO but that might risk being "solo" and sleeping in a tent for a much longer time...)
Then my wife decided to come with but didn't want to tent camp so we booked a bungalow at Ouray RV Park & Cabins. Now my daughter and son-in-law plus a couple friends are coming and my wife found a bigger place on VRBO. Funny that no matter how old my kids get, I still seem to underwrite the vacation lodging.![]()
Same situation here. Got the VRBO in town and a site at Amphitheater campground for evening campfires and snoring. For anyone still looking for a place to stay, I initially booked a site at the KOA when I thought I was going solo. I've canceled the bungalow at Ouray RV Park & Cabins and will cancel the KOA site tomorrow as you have to do that on the phone. Sorry to soak up multiple places as my actual plan materialized. I just didn't want to have miss out on finding a place. I waited too long last year and got lucky at the last minute.

Starting to get pretty stoked. Driving from PA, bringing my brother who's never done anything like this, so thats awesome. Gonna hit Dayton, and Chicago, anyone have any suggestions for neat/obscure/wild things between PA and ouray, please shoot em my way. Hit a lot of cool stuff solo last year, looking to one up myself this time.
