LC200: Windshield wiper clicking noise?

I just started hearing a faint clicking noise from inside the cabin coming from the windshield wiper area when wipers are on. Wipers operate in all modes, but want to take care of any potential issue before they stop at the most inopportune time. Any idea to what is causing this?

Have you tried isolating the side by removing one of the arms and operating the wipers? I'm not sure you can only lift the arm and operate w/o any damage (I'm away from the truck).

Is there excess play between the blades and the wiper arms?

What kind of wipers do you use? beam or articulated, OEM or aftermarket? Is there play in the articulations?

Are the arm nuts properly torqued?

If none of the above produces results, then remove the cowl and investigate the linkage.
