Well, my mechanic threw in the towel on trying to get my '86 FJ60 to idle correctly and told me to take it to a specilaist.

The engine RPM's were "pulsing" at idle (revving up to 2700 RPMs, then dropping and repeating the cycle) (with no a/c) and eventually going dead.

He changed the Emission Control Computer which made it stop the pulsing, but now it just won't idle.

Any ideas??

Does anyone know somebody in NE Georgia that is really good at diagnosing this type of carb/vacuume/sensor problem?????

Urban Land Cruiser is in Atlanta. I'm not sure how far you are from there, but they specialize in TLC's so it shouldn't be a problem for them.

In Anderson SC, Ralph Hayes toyota has a very good mechanic there, Also the Parts guy is in our LC Club and has owned several LC's himself, he drives and 80 and 62.
