Question to '98-'06 (100 Series) LC owners:

Do your outside rearview mirrors have power foldaway function?

Heater function?

TIA !

Power folding no - heat yes (mine's a 98).

I believe that folding mirrors is a LX only feature, at least for the first years...

tech_dog are you saying that the 2006 LC now has power folding mirrors????

Thanks for the info.

I wonder what the electrical connector etc. looks like.

(I'm trying to find out if I can use a LC mirror for my LX. The Lexus stealer quoted $663.49 for a new 1999 Lexus LX470 mirror, but "Lexus" parts cost up 40% more than identical p/n Toyota parts.)

Virtually ever car I've ever seen in Japan had electric folding mirrors. You have to since the parking lots/garages are so dang tight.

A quick search on parts.com found the outside mirror assembly for an LX for $480

Sorry... I was tired when I answered.

The 2006 LX has heated and folding mirrors. Hopefully people noticed my vehicles in my sig and I didn't send anyone the wrong direction.

Thanks to all who replied.

Apparently the 100 series LC mirror does not have power foldaway function.

I guess I'll just settle for tolerating the lack of remote up/down mirror adjust function. $664 is absolutely outrageous, and $480 by etailer is still outrageous - with the significant risk of receiving damaged/defective part and subsequent etailer return hassles & added costs.

Maybe one day I'll see if I can find one at a local salvage yard (they don't like to be called junkyards anymore, do they?).

The "etailers" I have purchased from (Toyota, not Lexus...yet) on parts.com are dealers with OEM parts, they ship quickly and the parts are packaged well, in original packaging and then a shipping box, I would not hesitate to order from such a dealer again.

Cruiserparts.net claims to have the LX mirror for $175. I believe many here use them...
