Alright, I have been looking through some of the forums last few months and thinking on what I want to do first to my 200.

I want to start out with putting a front bumper (thinking ARB) with a winch and a 2-in suspension lift.

With the ARB front, my concern is the added weight and what it will do to wheel bearings and the front end suspension when it comes to wear. I see people put stiffer springs up front to help with weight that comes with the bumper so you don't get front end sag. I found a place in BR that install ARB, just didn't know if there might be someone closer?

Suspension lift: I see a lot of people on here use OME. Would this be the default choice?

This is my daily driver so I do not want to have a suspension so tight that when I go on a road trip I'll be kicking myself for doing it or my wife in my ear cackling on how I ruined everything, though that my not be avoidable. :D

Any input is appreciated.

not too many suppliers out there that I am aware of but here is Slee`s options which are OME`s kits . perhaps Ironman?
best bet is surf the 200 threads here in IH8MUD to get some personal imput from people that have done what you are thinking bout:cheers:

Agree with Paul check out the 200 forum and see what is working for those doing lifts and bumpers it could save you time and money. Getting the spring rate right is important when your talking about adding the weight of bumpers and winches. I wasted time and money trying to get mine where I wanted it. I was new to coil spring lifts. I like the Iron Man products http://store.camel4x4.com/category/200_Series.html?fromPage=Home but you can't go wrong with OME either. As Paul mentioned SLEE also specializes in the later cruisers. We met a guy in Tennessee at GSMTR that had his 200 built at Iron Pig Offroad they maybe able to give you some pointers ask for Lance http://www.ironpigoffroad.com//index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=4_26&products_id=67

We can help you put some of your products on at a scheduled wrenching session to save you on the trip and Labor. Local 4WD shops Cajun Offroad and B&M

I have a $3800 budget, and was thinking the OME 2in stock lift with the ARB Sahara Deluxe front bumper. Would like to put a winch on also, but don't think I'll have enough $$$$. Only place to know to get them is Light Line of La. in BR. Do you guys know of anyone else? I went to G&H a few weeks back and that guy totoally did not want to deal with me. Said there wasn't a lift kit for the new land cruiser because the KDSS was too complicated. Went to B&M asking questions about land cruiser and smoke was coming out of the guy behind the counters ears.

Sounds like a good plan to go with the OME 2 in stock lift with the ARB Sahara Deluxe front bumper you can always add the winch later just make sure the 2 inch stock lift coils your looking at account for the weight of the bumper and winch. As for where to get them most of us order our parts from the specialty shops that support this community also where you'll find the best bang for your buck on price and shipping. You won't find them locally I'm sure they can order them they're just not familiar with our vehicles.

Here are a few

I know I could save a ton of money ordering through these dealers, it's just I don't have the expertise to do it.

Well that's one of the perks of being in a club like ours, if your not scared to get dirty and learn we have wrenching sessions where we help each other with projects and can help you with the install. If the wrenching session didn't work out then Paul Kegley (Lostinafog) is our resident mechanic and does it for a living he works on quite a bit of the club member's vehicles and I'd trust his experience more than I would some of the local shops :)

I have no real input but like others have posted up, links to other build threads really help to see what works and what doesn't. As far as for installing equipment post up when you need help or put it on the calendar for a wrenching session. "movie voice" Post up and they will come :D..

There is knowledge and skill in this club that would lend a hand with this. Better than having a shop do the work and not realizing they took a short cut or modification you did not know about (Not that there every shop does this) just some.
 Great to know you are looking at mods on such a new vehicle to make it more trail capable.

I friend of mine at work just got some Toyo open country m/t put on his Tundra (275/70R18) would these rub any with the 2 in OME lift?

I wouldn't think so What size do you have on there now 265's? I think OME would design the 2 inch lift to run a 285 I'll try to confirm that for you.

And I found that thread after I asked the question. Been researching the 200 forum and getting very good info.

Good to hear, I'm glad to help if I see anything of interest I'll post it here for you :)

Thought I would be ordering some goodies for the 200 today after I sold one of my toys on eBay. I guess people by stuff they don't want.

Sorry to hear, if someone wanted it once its likely someone else will too :D What kinda toy? We have a 4-Sale thread here and so does the general forum in the classifieds that maybe worth listing. I'm guilty of buying stuff I want but not sure I'll ever use  I bought a Sig Saur P228 .40 4 months ago I shot it for the first time Sunday. I thought it would make for a good travel companion :D

I was going to put it on here, but all the for sale stuff looked to be Toyota related. It's my sportbike, that would be ok to post in the local for sale thread here?
