Late to early door swap (1 Viewer)

Has anybody retrofitted late model FJ 40 doors onto earlier model tubs? I have 74 body with the 77 doors. The striker plates seem to be different sizes. Anybody has any tips on fabricating striker plates I am open to ideas

Yep, I've done it. There are several threads on the subject and I think there's a 'mud member that made/makes an adapter plate for the conversion.
Otherwise, recycle the loop onto a plate drilled to accept the early bolt pattern. Loop is set inboard.

You can calculate the placement of the loop using the late model door, or a buddies late model 40.
