I did a few searches and only came up with an early FJ40 mirror mount that dropped it lower.

For those of you with late model FJ40's...

Is there another mirror, from say another Toyota that has a shorter arm and will fit the bolt pattern?

My rearview mirror hangs right in my field of view.

It's somewhat distracting as I have to look around it.

I'm tall and I'd like a mirror to sit a few inches higher in the window for better visibility.

Any ideas?

Thanks @SuperDuperCruizer
That Witt's End 60 arm is the same length (8") as their 80 series one.
I still had my original 80 mirror in the parts bin and held it up in the 40.
It won't work as the mount angle is way off.

I can't tell from the pics on the Witt's End website if the 60 arm has the same angle on it though.

The base mount looks the same... I was contemplating modifying the arm to suit a 40-series

I'm not familiar with later FJ40 rear view mirror arms as I have a 1972 FJ40 but I had the same problem. I cut my arm as short as I could (its aluminum) and welded it back together and now it sits high on the windshield and all is good.
Maybe an option for you.

What mirror?
Pre 64, 64-67, 68-77, 78-82 or 83+?
A longer aftermarket style for the first group. Second group came in two lengths depending on the model.
