Latch install help needed (1 Viewer)

Hi, got a latch I want to use on my swing out tire carrier but don’t have any clue on how it’s supposed to work. Would appreciate some pictures if you have this style latch. I think I have an idea. Thanks

Mine are set vertically. Each swing arm has a delrin block underneath as a spacer.

Forgot about using some kind of plastic spacer to rest the other end on. Will have to look an see what I can find. I do have some ABS sheet but that’s probably not durable enough.

I drilled and tapped holes in the arm.
Delrin will be replaced as needed.
