I just got an email from Sue Miller (US Forestry) asking if we could get a group of 4-wheelers together to run Mt. Herman Rd. this weekend. Rick will open the upper gate Friday and the contractors will leave the lower gate open as well.
Apparently, the road is icy and may have some drifts across it. At least that's Sue's guess. My guess is that it's just icy. 4-wheelers have been by-passing both gates and severely damaged the upper gate.
OK, just got more news about Mt. Herman Rd. The contractor is going to plow the road to the upper gate. Therefore, we don't need to do anything.
So I guess this run is cancelled.
