An original Toyota large canvas tool roll and vintage Toyota tools. Asking $549 OBO, includes shipping to US. Please PM to discuss.

This Land Cruiser tool roll dates between 1964-69. The kit includes the types of tools originally supplied except for the Engine Adjust Kit, which is replaced by the Carburetor Driver Set in the tan pouch. All tools are vintage Toyota and date between 1964-69 except the Hammer (approx. 2000 marked Toyota Motor), Screwdrivers (approx. 1983 NOS Vessel) and Carburetor Driver Set (mid-70s). A replica Content List replaces the missing original.

The tools are in good, used condition and have marks and wear from age and use. There is pitting on the hammer head and peen. A vintage OH hammer can be substituted in place of the one pictured.

The tool roll canvas is in good condition. The upper and lower flaps have 2" separations from the main canvas as shown in the photos. There are several holes in the upper and lower flaps and main canvas. The canvas has typical marks and stains from age and use. There is a small crack in the Content List window.

Smoking deal!

Wow!

Also, should the greas gun from that era also have the TEQ stamping on it? I am only wondering about these two things, its a very nice kit and hoping for education/clarity on the two points.

“Vessel” screwdrivers are not oem in Toyota kits — is that correct?

Ash, I would like to know as well. @jblatz or @dmamj would probably be able to chime in.

Here's some additional information that may be useful to answer your questions.

Vessel screwdrivers - Vessel did manufacture screwdrivers for Land Cruiser tool kits. The screwdrivers in this kit are not those. Original screwdrivers for this kit would have been marked Toyota Motor Japan on the shank. These are later Vessel, general market screwdrivers, marked Vessel on the ferrule. They are NOS condition and date to around 1983, and were not included as original equipment in any Land Cruiser tool kit.

Grease Gun - 1964-69 Land Cruiser tool kits included a grease gun similar to the one pictured, except it was marked Toyota TEQ Motor.

To make this an original, full and correct kit for say 1967-69 would require these changes:
-a vintage OH hammer, the one pictured with TM marking is later
-a 6-wrench size wrench clip, as mentioned the one include is 5-wrench size
-3 screwdrivers marked Toyota Motor Japan on the shank 75mm, 150mm flat head and No2 cross-head, the ones included are Vessel brand not the Toyota originals
-a grease gun with the Toyota TEQ Motor logo, marked Made In Japan, the one included is somewhat later
-a green pouch Engine Adjust Kit in place of the carb driver set
-the Engine Adjust Kit would include the feeler gauges, gap gauge, voltage tester and 8x9mm ignition wrench.
-an original Content List

Let me know if you have additional questions.
