It's funny that they're struggling (and amazed) to get through stuff that we normally do in 2H just to get to the trailhead.

I actually thought the blue Defender 110 (I think) looked pretty sharp.....

Decent videos. There's really no reason to dog those guys; I have filmed numerous wheelin' runs and it never looks half as difficult/steep on video. I have always thought those D110s were sweet.

That's hilarious. Did you see the one almost roll over  and one came within a few feet of a tree

The funniest was the Mike vid, it says Rosanna Chiropractic Health Center on the side of it. The irony is killing me. That guy in the last one should really consider relocating his roll bar :D

I've always thought the defenders were pretty cool looking. Generally speaking I see rovers being more pampered than wheeled, and have only seen a couple crawlers. But that's cool and it looks like they are having a good time. It's still funny :flipoff2:

I'm thinking it must be a lot harder than it looks. If the camera was looking up at the action instead of down on it, those mud hills would look difficult, (at least I hope so).

I saw that Bloke in that 88" at the 4WD Show out at Wandin, took it easy and made it round the Corse many times without any trouble.

Ya I wouldn't knock em. Those trucks are doing fine, that disco had wheels off the ground and still went forward. as well they take some pretty sharp sideways slants. my ass would have been gripping the seat.

I even hear the disco crunching on rocks... so he ain't afraid to damage his expensive offroader.

    While on the topic

Which would you say looks more classy, rugged, capable, keeping original. Gotta admit that rover is sharp, I'd never want a scratch in it. That's why I drive a 75 Land Cruiser :D

Some of you guys knocking the Rovers must have watched different videos than I did. Looked pretty good to me. Those D110s looked unstoppable.

I cant knock Rovers anymore, my wifes 1994 Range Rover has been ONE HELL of a great ride the last two years. Great truck, and capable in its stock lay out, now if she would just let me get it scratched and dented...LOL

I have shot a lot of still photos and some video on wheeling trips. It is really hard to capture some of the more difficult or interesting sections of trail with a camera: the situation always looks easier than it really was...

That looked pretty good to me--some of the off camber stuff they handled pretty well. Anyone that smashes the nose of their Disco into some some rocks gets a thumbs up from me. And once the hilll gets wet, well, it's gonna take a little speed.

    Looked like fun.

The problem with these videos is they are 2 dimensional... ;)

I've taken pictures of some seriously vertical four-wheeling, only to look at the pics on the computer or play videos, and it looks like we're wheeling up a simple dirt road. Media has a way of flattening even the most extreme angles.

My friend's D90 was the most capable four-wheeler in our group. There were a few situations in which it could definitely get to places my Cruiser wouldn't without sustaining damage. Unfortunately, the D90 didn't get to wheel too much because it was always in the shop. :frown:
