grrr issues..

whats the right order for the 75 series swivel hub wiper seals?

outermost first: felt/steel/rubber? Rubber lip facing inward?

Hi Ross, you have mentioned that the r151 transmissions aren't holding up to the turboed 1HZ's in OZ, - so waht is the problem, is it a shaft problem, gear problem or bearing problem? I have this r151 in my truck and have some slight bearing noise and wonder if I should just rebuild it or if that is going to be a waste of time or will I just blow the tranny to pieces with the turbo and extra pwoer I am runnnig. I'd rather not go to a different tranny at this point but will if I have to.

Thanks
louis

Yes to all 3. The shaft is in 3 pieces that dont want to stay together and the bearings die and the gears too.
And thats on a standard 1HZ:mad:

It started life in a Supra then the light duty cruiser got it and then the 78/79 series.
It was a way to save fuel, weight and lose the clunky H55f feel which motoring journos criticised as being "dated"
Some of the biggest miners here called a meeting with Toyota and asked them to start using H55f again.

I noticed TLCruiseman's Arabian spec 79 series has the H55f ,so it must have been an Australian Toyota initiative.

A few owners on 4wd action have retro fitted the H55f to their 78/79 series ,not much to it if you use all the parts off a 75 series.
A H151 is supposed to be trouble free and has a nicer change than the H55f

Why is this Rosco? What, from factory is the H151 bos fitted to? Joel

The 6 cyl turbo diesels in the 78/79/80/100 series and the new V8 diesel in the 78/79 series. I think it is similar to the H150f with some electronics
The petrol 6 cyl in te 7*/80 and 105 series also had it I think.
