Yup mostly burns oil due to bad piston rings check for that before buying and also check for any oil leaks from the rear main seal and valve cover gasket other than that it's a really reliable engine snd easy to maintain

Thanks so much and yes sure i will have a check on these

Why would the issues in the GCC be any different to anywhere else? If you have a 1FZ in your truck im assuming its a 105 series, I wasnt aware of IFS-FZJ100 only FZJ105. In which case they are bomb proof but thirsty cars, just like their old man (80 series)

There is actually a 100 series 1FZ which has independent front suspension and the front end in those is way different than the 105 series plus the 1fz was updated on 1998+ models so it's a little different and makes a little more power than pre 98's

Never new that in terms of an IFS-FZ. The post 98FZ are still the same old thirsty engine though haha

Thirsty and noisy on the highway but still very simple to work on especially thet they no longer had distributors to worry about

IN gcc we only have the 100 here. We dont have 105.
And its extremely hot here so the conditions vary from anywhere else.

NOISY? The FZJ100 does NOT have a noisy engine. The 80 series version is more so though.

The GCC does have 105, they came only as diesel HZJ105.
