Yes people do supper this but not everyone gets on line to read ? Bring this up at the next meeting, I would also like to see the club join treadlightly as a club ,,, we would be able to apply for grant money which I posted in private section ( people read it not one reply?!) that would also free up more money we would normally spend to be able to donate
 
I have brought this up at multiple meetings. I think it is time for us to give to organizations that directly support keeping trails open and paying for legal bills. Things are only going to get worse for us because of the budgets of the forest service and blm.
 
Cool yes we've talked but that's just it talk , no one including myself said hey I motion we donate $200 to ...... This meeting bring 3 partys names to the table let's let the club step up and do the right thing...



I am going to do the same for the treadlightly side also!
 
That is also why members need to go to the ohv/ host program class .... Those forms we would turn in help allocate monies for usage.... I encourage everyone to go if possible!

CALIFORNIA - FS Begins Scoping on Three Projects - Black Gulch, Borel, and Boulder
The Kern River Ranger District of the Sequoia National Forest and the Giant Sequoia National Monument is currently conducting scoping for three projects. Projects undergoing scoping are the Lower Kern Canyon and Greenhorn Mountains Off-Highway Vehicle Restoration Project (LKC/GHM OHV RP), the Borel Relicensing Recreation Enhancement Project (BRREP) and the Boulder Gulch OHV Restoration Project. The Lower Kern Canyon and Greenhorn Mountains OHV Restoration Project (LKC/GHM OHV RP) is proposed to occur in three phases. The first phase will focus on decommissioning

The Kern River Ranger District of the Sequoia National Forest and the Giant Sequoia National Monument is currently conducting scoping for three projects. Projects undergoing scoping are the Lower Kern Canyon and Greenhorn Mountains Off-Highway Vehicle Restoration Project (LKC/GHM OHV RP), the Borel Relicensing Recreation Enhancement Project (BRREP) and the Boulder Gulch OHV Restoration Project.

The Lower Kern Canyon and Greenhorn Mountains OHV Restoration Project (LKC/GHM OHV RP) is proposed to occur in three phases. The first phase will focus on decommissioning and restoration. The second phase of the LKC/GHM OHV RP focuses on improving campsites and trails. The third phase of LKC/GHM OHV RP will provide continuous monitoring and improvement.

The Borel Relicensing Recreation Enhancement Project (BRREP) proposes to develop and improve three recreation sites in the Lower Kern Canyon adjacent to the Lower Kern River, and is funded by Southern California Edison as part of an agreement which permitted the Borel Hydroelectric Project.

The Boulder Gulch OHV Restoration Project (BG OHV RP) will utilize CA State provided OHV restoration funds to restore the Boulder Gulch Day Use Area.

The District Ranger, Kern River Ranger District, Sequoia National Forest, is the official responsible for making this decision for all three of these proposals. The District Ranger will decide whether to adopt and implement the proposed action, an alternative to the proposed action, or take no action.
