I'm in the middle of installing this now. Need some help with a question. Are the bottom rails supposed to slide out of the top rails easily?

Because when I dismantled the first one I used a little extra force and slung some bearings across the garage somewhere....

Never mind. Solved the puzzle by using controlled chaos force on the 2nd rail and found the lost barrel bearing thingie....

When I did mine i found that the first part of the instructions, where you grind etc, were great. Then they stop and your on your own, a bit, trying to get the rails back together. I found gently working the roller bearings back in place with my fingers in the rails worked eventually. I would be concerned about forcing them back in place as the race that carries the roller bearing can bend easily.

My seats don't roll well now that the extenders are installed. I believe the plastic gears go screwed up somehow and I adjust the seat as little as possible.

Land Tank is on this forum and gave me some advice when I was doing mine.

You will LOVE the additional leg room once the cussing is over and you get the seats back in.

@Tahoe:
Yes the roller bearings did give me fits until I figured out that one bearing was on one side of the dimple stop and one bearing was supposed to be on the other dimple stop area for each rail.
Got her back together and now I need to fix the white gearing thing again. Although, and here's the deal: I got the extenders to extend. Therefore, I really have no need to move them up, cause I will have them set all the way back. Unless a rear passenger complains.

Looking forward to the legroom.....

Or unless a short person needs to drive you somewhere LOL. My girlfriend is 5'2" and needs the seat almost to the windshield. I can't even get in if she leaves it forward.
I love the extenders I hope you do too.

Got them installed and yes the extra legroom is substantially better. Replaced the seat motor plastic gears from nakman also.
Liking it!

I'm interested if you can drop the rear seats and fold them up with the seat extended all the way back? I know I'd appreciate the legroom but losing functionality might hold me up.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, I can drop/fold the middle row seat with the front extended all the way back, but you better not have anything in the seat back map compartment at the rear of the front seat, not even a map of a small state!

There's a strap on my second row seats that allow you to fold the seat, swing it up and hold it at almost any angle. I had a folding table stored between that and the stock front seat just to give you an idea.

Does anyone have a PDF with instructions handy?

I haven't done a seat extension install in years. I know people have difficulty reassembling but you did take them apart. :).

The last truck I bought actually had them akreading installed.

I'll look at the the guide and see if I can add some text to help clear things up.
