To get an overall inspection by a Land Cruiser specialist to see what I need. It has 225k miles. One owner. From washington state. It drives fine. No or very minimal rust. I want to catch with maintenance. Lots of records from Toyota . But the previous owner has only driven less than 10K miles in the past 5 years. He uses it only on summer. In winter it sits anf battery gets disconnected and gets charged.

Nice buy. . . . honestly search the forums about baselining your vehicle. Only way to be 100% is learning on your own. I learned quickly when my engine popped the freeze plug on the rear of the block. Total engine rebuild with the FSM and an experienced mechanic guiding me. Knuckle rebuild on my own etc. It all comes with learning from this forum.

Thanks crispy. But I would like have a mechanic who knows about the Landcruiser especially FJ80 rather than going to a cornerstone mechanic who claims to know it all.

Eric just helped me baseline my 98 LX470. I was short on time and he worked until midnight every night to get my truck on the road. Asked him to change the transmission fluid on my Odyssey too and he wanted me to come back so he can do it right - by dropping the pan and change the filter also. He's a bit out of the way for me but I'm bringing all my cars to him from now on. If anyone in PA needs any work done on cruisers or vehicles then call him now! Hopefully enough mudders can keep him busy and happy where he is so he can stay independent. I'm bringing my dad's car to him next!

Eric, you still need to fix your email link.

If you want someone in Philadelphia proper, Monte & Sons in Germantown. They work on my '91 80, my '69 40 and I've seen several other 80's and 60/62s in there.
