New Land Cruiser project was presented on the Tokyo Auto Salon 2023.
Toyota Auto Body made a combo of a BJ40V body and a HZJ71 chassis.
Someone can criticize the concept or a lifted look but I think it is nice to see the new J4 projects.

It looks like the jump seats from a Tacoma? Obviously, time could have been better spent on their lunch hour than messing around with body filler. That sinking feeling to realize that it is a "custom" - isn't an original 40ish, and it is not a 70-something non-USA Cruiser. But, I appreciate the build. Wonder how much effort it takes to compress that front door weatherstrip?

Nice, but wonder why they didn't ditch the old 70 body mounts?

Is the yellow one in the attached pics same as the orange one in the vid?

I feel better about some of my welding now.

Nice idea, poor execution. Too bad.

This reminds me of so much of life's stuff. I absolutely hated it at first, then it is like, well, I'd take one in 622 Nebula Green, and it would go great next to an anything J60... In a year, I'd be busy ordering a second one before they are gone.
