In the workshop manual it refers to this connector as EA4 grey.
However there are no associated wiring diagrams to show what the wires are meant to go to.

So currently the project is stalled due to lack of information and struggling to find a working g52 landcruiser box in Queensland Australia. Hopefully I can find both the information on this plug in the engine bay and a gearbox soon so I can finish this cruiser up.

So today I finally got the 5L to start for the first time since I started fixing this car up. It runs so smoothly with the td04L on it and it has such a beautiful whistle out the exhaust. Now to wait for the shops to open so I can fit a new oil filter and new oil in it. Finished doing a flush to the motors oil system. Next to finish up some other jobs on the car before I take it for its first drive in a year 😀

It's come along way since I first started. It also looks very small compared to its neighboring troop carrier at the moment.

Can anyone help as to why I have coolant coming out of this hole on my oil cooler. It continually drips. Can anyone enlighten me on this? Can't find anything on google searches.

So after searching images on google it looks like there was supposed to be a bolt in this hole which someone took out for some reason. Put a bolt in the hole with some thread sealer on it and no more leak. Currently trying to resolve issues with the electrical thanks to someone cutting out the engine bay fuse and relay box. Currently trying to figure out what wires go where and what should and shouldn't have power. So much electrical to do but the list is getting shorter.

So, I have been trying to get information on that body harness plug in the engine bay. I found the factory wiring diagrams here on the forum, thanks whoever posted that up, in the diagrams it lists 3 connectors which are all visually the same. In the attached image you will see what I mean. They name these connectors and even mention wires in the diagrams that go to this connector but never give a pin out for the connector itself. Can anyone supply a pin out for this connector?

Ok, can anyone help me out. My car no longer has an ecu as removed by a previous owner, I am trying to get all the gauges working including the rpm gauge. My question is this, is it possible to get the rpm gauge working without the ecu in the system? The current engine is a 5L and has a rpm sensor built into the pump. Can I wire that sensor into the ecu connector left under the dash and have the rpm gauge work or does the ecu change the signal to something that the rpm gauge understands. I don't know this and would love if someone could enlighten me on this topic. On another note, I have pieced together the pinouts for the plug in the engine bay that was a mystery to me for so long. Mostly gearbox sensors and some engine sensors but hours of confused study of a Japanese wiring diagram may have payed off, only time will tell.

Does anyone have info on the wires that go into the fuse/relay block in the engine bay as that has also been cut out by the previous owner and I am having to repair this also

Since no one has bothered to help me with any of my issues I have posted up I will no longer be posting on this forum.

Thanks for nothing guys

no need to have a sulk, your asking questions without even doing the basics, why dont you get a dash of a wreck that had a 5L ( hiace surf etc)and convert all the insides over, its just a diesel engine , who needs rpm anyway, its not as if its a 10,000rpm screamer,
